CUSTOM ORTHOTIC THERAPY

A custom orthotic is a special "insole" specifically made to align the foot and ankle bones in the most efficient position possible. As such, the custom orthotic reduces the stress and strain on the body from the feet upwards by redirecting or reducing certain motions of the foot during gait or walking. We use The Orthotic Group's GaitScan pressure pad technology to take precise digital measurements of your feet during the gait cycle. We also use a foam casting technique to provide even more information for the laboratory to manufacture your custom orthotics. The orthotic is made of a thermoplastic material that provides both rigidity and shock absorption qualities. No matter what your activity or needs, custom orthotics can be made for every day shoes, runners, work boots, skates, and even certain high heel shoes, etc. Many insurance plans offer full or partial coverage for custom orthotic therapy.

Not everyone needs custom orthotics. Your evaluation will determine the best options for you.
